White's only group adopts part of the AA highway in NKy

If you are going to continually bring up your racists views whenever you get the chance, please at least get the facts correct. The incident you keep referring to in PA, I assume, was perpetrated by the "NEW Black Panther Party", completely unaffiliated with the Black Panthers.

My racist views? I wasn't the one who said kill white babies.

I don't even like the 2 racist groups we are talking about.

My racist views, only repeating what the New Black Panther Party said and I'm sure the regular BPP ain't far behind.

I'm far from a racist, I dislike racist.

So will there be signs telling me to stay off of their portion of the highway? I'd hate to get a flat or something like that on the wrong stretch of that highway. Talk about awkward.....

Here's a piece of free advice from ol' papa.

Avoid the "Coloreds-Only Lane" if at all possible.

Because the Black Panther Party is such a peace loving group?

I fully support the First Amendment's Freedom of Speech, but all speech does not deserve Freedom. And before you ask Clyde, "I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced...but I know it when I see it" - Former Justice Potter Stewart of the Supreme Court of the United States. He too was discussing a First Amendment issue before the court, pornography.

As stated in earlier post this appears to me to be an attention grab by a group trying to spread a message of hate and socialism.

No I abhor the rhetoric and the politics of the Black Panther Party , but they are only a fringe group here in the good old USA . You can compare the BPP and The nazi's legitimately only after the BPP has caused the deaths of over 10 million as the National Socialists have . The BPP are small potatos compared to them .

Do you have evidence to show otherwise, and not from the 60s and 70s?

I really don't care who adopts part of the highway. I believe in ignoring fringe groups seeking attention. Let them pick up the garbage, otherwise their sign will be taken down.

I'm probably more offended that on the stretch of the AA that I travel daily, Kentucky actually pays a company from Illinois to clean it up about 4 times a year.

It's a shame more non profit groups don't know about the Cash for Trash program where they can earn up to $1000 for cleaning up sections of roads. Pretty nice program.

So if the Nazi's start selling brownies outside of Wal-Mart were all good?

Just heard a local HS sports teams got paid $1,000 to clean up one of the areas.

The plan is a $100 per mile donation with I believe a maximum of 10 miles and a minimum of 5 miles. There also may be annual limitations. Great program for organizations.

That's great. I've never heard of this program before. I always assumed the Adopt-a-Highway stretches were all voluntary. Nasty as the job is, it would be good for small groups to take advantage of.

The company I've seen(from Illinois) has a fleet of white buses and trucks. Most of the workers appear to be Hispanic. Like I said previously, it seemed wrong to me that the Commonwealth of Kentucky was paying an Illinois company to pick up litter on the AA.

They need to have the same rights, even if they are playing the system. However, If I were a cop I sure would look the other way if a motorist threw a tire, a vacuum cleaner, or perhaps an old refrigerator on that stretch of highway. Then when it is not cleaned up , pull the sign down. (And do the same for the black panther stretch of highway.)

That's great and all, but what happens when there's a stretch of highway by the NoKy Right-to-Life group and a cop who's an abortion supporter allows some of his buddies to do the same thing?
