futurecoach Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I can't argue it if people want to say Bengals suck. That was horrible!
futurecoach Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 This team has potential to be a good team, however at the moment they definitely are not. Now its all tough games to from here on out, and so unless they play to the potential it could be a bad year. With that said I know people get on the defense. However for the second week in a row the loss goes on the offense. They gave up 13 points, and had so many three and outs and kept the defense on the field forever in the 2nd half.
futurecoach Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 Also Gresham is so inconsistent, he started off great. However killed the team after that first big play. I would like to see Marvin Jones play more as the #2 and give Sanu some more time in the slot.
hrcarrier Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Definitely a bad loss. From a professional sports perspective, there is not much to look forward to until Opening Day for baseball. Things will not improve for the Bengals until Mike Brown is gone, plain and simple.

Yes Mike Brown has had many bad years, however you all do realize the Bengals have basically done about the same as the Reds since Brown has taken over. Just last year they were a playoff team. There is talent that he has put together on this team, and even teams with GM's like the Browns and Chiefs, etc. Have not had the same success as the Bengals lately. The 90's sucked with Brown, however since 2003 he hasn't done that bad of a job. Not great but not bad either, and just getting a new GM or owner means nothing.
spindoc Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 That'll make next week a must win for both teams. I told you guys the Brownies would sneak up and get someone. They may sweep the Steelers after beating the Bengals.

They have some good young talent on the Browns, I was just hoping the Bengals could get 2 wins from them this year before they started to win.

It has been better since '03, but at this point, it should be much better than what it is. I know that their can be ups and downs, but if you look at the teams with solid ownership, general management, etc., there is typically more success on a consistent basis.

I'm not sure that the Chiefs and Browns are franchises that I would aspire to compare myself to. But if you want to the Chiefs have the same number of playoff appearances as the Bengals in the timeframe that you referenced.
Qryche11 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Bengals cant put anyone away period. Marvin has stolen 10 years from this franchise. Nice guys truly finish last and every year we finish last in my opinion. If you are satisfied with sneaking into the playoffs for a quick one and out 2 of the last 22 years then you have very low expectations. I grew up watching the Bengals reach the Super Bowl twice and since then it has been very frustrating. Heres the good news, they will always sell tickets and Mike Brown will always get paid so no threat of leaving.
newarkcatholicfan Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Here in Ohio we have the best minor league football in the nation.

Brandon Weeden played games with them today.

It amazes me how people will continue to cough up money for tickets and then spend $8.00 a pop for 16oz. beers and other OVERPRICED concessions for the nonsense on the field year in and year out. :ohbrother:
NEERFAN Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I say they win six games. You aren't a good team if you lose to the Fins and Browns back to back.
