The Walking Dead (Season 3...Possible Spoilers)

Sophia in the barn was a huge scene.

Best scene from any television show I've ever watched.

Watched some of season 2 earlier. Poor Otis.

No doubt on "Poor Otis."

Re-watching Season 2 reinforces what a lot of people say about it: that it was slow. The high points (Sophia, Dale, the battle at the farm, Rick vs. Shane) are outstanding, but overall it was average or slightly above average. Season 3 has been a better overall season, but the high points aren't as good as Season 2.

I forgot about the fat zombie in the well. :lol2:

Are you talking about Dale?

Watched one of the reruns last night, when Shane went for medical supplies. The thing that I noticed was how fast the walkers were moving when they were chasing them! Seems like they were practically running at times. Compare that to when Merle got caught outside when the governor made his little "delivery", and those were walking with cement shoes.

That's what I've been saying...the walkers are becoming a joke at this point. They used to be agressive and attack. Now we see them in the background just waddling along.

Earlier this season when they were first introducing Woodbury, there was a scene showing Milton doing experiments on the walkers. He said that they are deteriorating but very slowly. Maybe this is the explaination but I agree with you, this is probably my biggest frustration with the show. The walkers have become an after thought to the soap opera. The first season of walking dead and parts of the 2nd season the walkers were aggressive and deadly. Now they are as dangerous as cattle, easy to corral and kill.

Agreed. Have you watched the newer version of Dawn of the Dead? Show would be much more interesting if the Walkers were like the zombies in that movie.

I haven't seen it yet, I'll have to check it out.

Search for "zombies dawn of the dead" on youtube and you can watch a little. Videos have foul language and what not so don't want to post them on here.

Yeah I agree about the walkers to an extent but they are slowly decaying so maybe they aren't as fast.

I thought perhaps the ones that Michone and Carl found locked up that bar had a "legitimate" reason to be slow...they probably hadn't eaten anything in quite awhile.

However, in last week's episode, we see Merle shortly after he became a walker, and actually eating at the time that Daryl finds him...and he still seemed like he was moving in slow motion. He was about as "fresh" as a walker could be!

I also believe that the Walkers go based on what they see.....Early on the group would run when they seen walkers which made them run on instinct. Now the group doesn't run as much when they see walkers.

interesting ... never thought of it that way

Maybe they are just getting used to the Walkers being around and do not react the same way anymore. They know how to handle and take of them. Humans are capable of adapting.
