September 28, 201213 yr Author I'll be traveling to Pittsburgh for the game Saturday. Just taking one for the team. You know making sure everyone stays motivated on the road with Reds fans in the crowd. Definitely moves you up the list when you take in a road game.
September 28, 201213 yr I am having a perfect storm day from hell at work that started with an 8:00 am drunk call from a client. Making the "no doubters" list is by far the best (and perhaps only) good news I have had this overcast Friday. I will be ready to help the team in any capacity. Starter, late inning defensive replacement, left handed bat off the bench, pinch runner, goon ... (but I ain't taking my shirt off.)
September 28, 201213 yr Let me know soon, so I can get rid of my playoff tickets if I make the squad!
September 28, 201213 yr I know I have no chance considering I am not even on the bubble haha. However for the people on the bubble any chance of people being add to the playoff roster if they are not on it for the opening playoff series? Say if someone shows enough promise in the first playoff series, you may feel like you need to add them in the next playoff series based on the matchup?

September 28, 201213 yr I bet I can stay up as long as doc. I may need to take a longer than normal nap on those days. I'll be on. Playoffs only happen once in a blue moon. It's something that I'll just have to take a nap thru lunch the next day for. All about taking one for the team.
September 28, 201213 yr I was actually at the funeral home in the back watching Halladay when he whitewashed the Reds not long ago. My wife said, "where have you been?", then she saw the TV and gave me a harumph and just turned around and went back in with her family. It wasn't my family that kicked the bucket, and this is the Reds and it's the playoffs. Yeah, I know they are getting no hit, but it's the playoffs. I didn't tell here to die during the only time in this century that I can watch the Reds in the playoffs. Remember, I wanted to stay home, but out of my sheer devotion to you dear, I went anyway and now I get a harumph? Please!

You're definitely on the bubble list. If it came down to it I think you would watch the Bengals over the Reds.
September 28, 201213 yr I got a similar reaction from my wife when we were at a funeral home in Louisville during the Reds/Cards series and I merely asked one of the employees if they had free wifi.

September 28, 201213 yr ^ I will be watching the Reds no question about it. I will stab anyone in my house who tries to change it.

September 28, 201213 yr I think those of us who are old enough to know the entire starting lineup (with their number and position) of the Big Red Machine by heart, and sleep beneath a signed print of said lineup, should merit some consideration -- at least for bat boy.

Would the Reds let Johnny Bench have a spot on the playoff roster? That was the 70's. This is 2012. You gotta keep up with today's team.
