BGP Reds playoff posting roster

Featured Replies

Cincysportsfan had a solid couple days in the past week. I could see him running for LRCW in a late game situation.

Thanks for the support Crash. Would be glad to do whatever. Just glad to have a cup of coffee!

Am I the only one who has Picture in Picture? Guys you gotta multitask. If you have another game on you want to watch, PIP, minimize the other game and keep the sound on the Reds. Paralyp could be a deterrent, but it's easily done.

It's the playoffs vs regular season. I need 100% focus for all 9 innings. Anything less may get you DFA'd.

I think those of us who are old enough to know the entire starting lineup (with their number and position) of the Big Red Machine by heart, and sleep beneath a signed print of said lineup, should merit some consideration -- at least for bat boy.

I go pre-Big Red Machine. Waited in line with my older sister at the ticket office on the west side of Riverfront Stadium for about 15 hours to get World Series tickets in 1970. Saw the Reds lose games 1 and 2 to Baltimore from way up in the red seats. I hate Brooks Robinson to this day.

He's dead. Let it go man.

I will stab anyone in my house who tries to change it.

Had tickets to the Bengals/Dolphins game on the 7th. Had to switch that date for the Bengals/Giants on the 11th of November. I hope to be wearing my 2012 Cincinnati Reds World Championship Hoodie for that game.

I remember that one too, but I was only five at the time. (Please don't do the math.)

I cried after they lost to the A's in '72. That was brutal.

Can I at least hate Jim Palmer?

Yes, but mcpapa will hate you for it.

Down 1 run in game 7, 9th inning - 2 outs. Rollie Fingers hits pinch hitter Darrell Chaney with a pitch. Pete comes to the plate. Hits one the opposite way to right field. Deep. Matty Alou (the only year he played for the A's) makes the catch against the wall. If Pete had hit the 2 out 2 run homer to win game 7, the celebration might have leveled the city.

I hate Jim Palmer and his beautiful hair.

Can I at least hate Jim Palmer?
Only if I can continue to hate Reggie Jackson.
Yes, but mcpapa will hate you for it.

Well that's not going to work. I sure don't want mcpapa mad at me.

I guess I'll just have to settle on hating Bobby Tolan who played for the Reds but did his best Shoeless Joe Jackson impersonation in the field throughout the series.

A couple of mistakes. Rose did hit the ball to the opposite field, but that was LF, and it was Joe Rudi who caught the ball against the wall. I'll give you a B-

Jackson didn't even play in the World Series that year.
