Is it just me, or does there seem to be something ( or someone ) missing in this thread???

Since there is no State Championship for Freshman and this is in a thread about a NKY Freshman game, it's pretty safe to assume he was talking about NKY.

I dont' think anyone on here would dispute that, but you got to put your shot in, so congrats! We bow to your greatness. Beechwood has ~18 Freshman and 3 8th graders on the Freshman team. Do you really find it necessary to point out that they couldn't compete with the 80 kid rosters of Trinity or X.

Agree completely. Was just making the point, in my interpretation of what he said I assumed he was banging on teams that let kids play on more than one team, and included BW in his reference,

Kicker is different. I have seen a number of freshmen kick for the varsity and still play freshman. IMO, if a kid is good enough to play varsity, he should get his major playing time on JV, not on freshman. Play better competition to get better.

Jared Daugherty can do much more than kick! He is a solid RB many yards after initial contact. To be honest even better on the defensive side of the ball. Typical with the Birds program he can play frosh with his class because of all the talent in the program. Guarantee he would be playing at another level at another school

Would this be Tanner Morgan?

Yes, they play all three games a week. I do not believe they are the only ones that they have doing this.

They dressed for varsity. Collin only dressed for about 4 games and only got in for about 10 plays all year. And that was at the end of the year. They just wanted a peak at the future.

Seems like you are not knowing what you are talking about. Ryle has had a freshman get in ONE play of varsity football in the last three weeks. There are a few freshmen that dress, but they don't get on the field except for a rare occasion.

I hope you understand why teams do that don't you?

A player plays in a varsity game, he can't transfer and if he does he has to sit out a year. Don't get too excited about a freshman taking a snap in a Varsity game. They are simply protecting their players.

Well said, happens every year

RR7, welcome to the site. Not sure what's up with TOG. Maybe "the boss" was on him hard today and he's taking it out on you. Not sure why there was such a demeaning and condescending post.

And if you can bring intelligent Ryle conversation to the board that would be a plus. I've had to listen for years now to Cooperstown so the bar is really low for you to overcome.

Welcome.

just thought you should know the facts, seems to be a lot of speculation.

But that was really a nice comment your a charm.
