Best team in KY?

Featured Replies

Just wanted to see how everyone thought WKU and UofL would compare. I would give a slight edge to the Cards at this point but I'm really liking what I've seen from Western.

It very well could be WKU. UL's defense has not lived up to expectations, IMO.

If the question is "Which team in Kentucky has Teddy Bridgewater?" then yes, it is an easy choice. But WKU is very solid on both sides of the ball. I would put the spread at UL -7 on a neutral field, allowing 2.5 points either way for the home team.

Two weeks ago I would have gone with UL -13.

We're talking about the Louisville team that was so dominant against Kentucky that they put in their backup QB in the 3rd Quarter and still weren't threatened? WKU was impressive against UK, but they still allowed the Wildcats back in and had to win in OT. I'd say UL by 2 scores easy. Even with the FIU result.

I hate UL, but I wholeheartedly agree.

U of L is the best team in the state.....but, that's not the goal. I love what my man Willie has done, BUT, let's compare at season's end.

Game was also in Lville. I would really give WKU the edge. Mainly because I think WKU is better all-around than UL is. You can Teddy Bridgewater me all day long, I still think WKU is better. I think they have played pretty similar schedules thus far, with a slight edge to UL, but WKU just has the mojo right now.

WKU by 3 if this game took place.

WKU has the mojo because they beat UK on a trick play in OT and a brutal Southern Miss???

WKU was actually pretty solid against Alabama. I just think WKU has gotten better each week, while UL has not been able to put opponents away. I don't think UL is any more than 2 scores better than WKU if playing at Papa John's. I'll concede they are the top team in KY, but not by that much. I'm not a UL hater by any means, but they haven't really excited the faithful lately. Truth be told I hope the Cards jump start and win out.

Louisville, even with playing as bad as they have defensively. As the season goes on, I believe they will get much better.

I'm not even going to get into an argument about the differential, the acknowledgement that it's UofL is good enough for me.
