Lockdown at Simon Kenton?

I did 3 months ago, and it's been fantastic. I'll be out with people who will start talking about fb drama and I'm oblivious to it all. Will never go back.

I get bored during those extended bath room breaks at work and need some reading material. That's about it's only use at this point, that or if I see something funny that I feel like sharing with others.

No telling how many kids transfer to Beechwood now.[/Q]

I'm sure after reading how supportive you folks were towards the Lane kid after a couple of losses, they will be lining up at the door to sign up. Tasteless comment under the circumstances.

There was heavy police presence in Lationia before school this past Monday apparently for the same reasons.

The school has not made any public statement about the issue so far.

I debated between going "transfer" or the "go Ryle and pull out the taser". Obviously I went the "transfer" path. :D

Latonia, for Holmes or Holy Cross?

Only HC is in Latonia

Seriously though facebook is so much drama/complaining it's pathetic. I know lots of folks that have jumped ship from Facebook.
It's not Facebook, it's the friends people choose there that are the problem. :)

Anyone remember Boone County High in the 70s when they had to have police roam the halls?

I'm aware of that, just didn't know if you were. Not a shot at you I've just heard people say the wrong thing about both schools a lot of times which is why I was asking.

Clyde, I dare say most that peruse this site weren't even around in the seventies! I went to a high school in the area where one of our biggest concerns was who were the "narcs" that were planted in the classes to catch all the "reefer" peddlers.

Oh and by the way, your avatar reminds me of the dark blue suede Puma "clydes" I had back in the day that turned my feet blue from not wearing socks. :D

I live in Independence. Independence is certainly primarily white anglo. I think "largely from rural poverty" is a bit of an overstatement though, and should not be used to try to play this off as some kind of allegation that these actions are being conducted by "poor uneducated white trash" or anything like that. There are bits and pieces of rural poverty left, undoubtedly, but still, to name a "few" of the subdivisions in Independence:

There is another 40 that have been approved and not yet broke ground on. The housing bubble pop, slowed if not stopped the sub division madness. Kenton County seriously needs to consider another High School soon, SK is WAY overcrowded as it is...

Fastest growing city in KY for over a decade now isn't it?

It's so nice to know that race has been declared a "non-issue" by a lot of our hardcore conservative board members, many of whom just so happen to be from Northern Kentucky.
