I've been around the KY HS sports scene since the mid 80s and I never recall kids moving from school to school the way they do today. Again, I just don't like it but I guess it's 2012 and not 1985 anymore. :isurrender:

I agree with you. All I'm saying is that we can gripe about the KHSAA but they aren't inclined to do a thing if there's no dispute raised by the sending school or a neighbor. The whole transfer thing is a joke.

Completely agree....The disturbing part is that I don't think it is going to get any better in the near future.

Yes, I may have stated it too strongly. There were whispers of this and it came from the north side of the river. I do not have any evidence.

What is it about HC that brings in kids to play ball?? The school is tiny and in need of much repair!! Not a powerhouse by any means in any sport. I dont get it. When kids transfer to Highlands to play football, I get it. Big school powerful football program almost a lock to win state all that helps with getting noticed and a solid chance for college scholarship . I GET IT, but why HC????????

 

Just wondering, when was the last time someone transferred to Highlands for football. To the best of my recollection it would have to be Mitchell in 2004. Eight years ago now. This is a basketball issue. It's not just KY, it's the whole country. Hell it's international. What is going on in KY is nothing compared to what Is going on elsewhere. If This is allowed to continue it invites a seedy element that means nothing but problems for the high school kids they will exploit.

my younger brother attends HC and probably 1 1/2 - 2 weeks after Tony had supposedly transferred my brother had told me that he was still attending HC and he was positive because they have the same lunch period together. I was going to post this on the previous thread, but it was already closed at the time I received this information. As for all of the issues and requirements for being eligible, I do not know all of the rules so I really can't comment on that.
