So, it's went Republican in every election I can remember prior to 08. It's not a swing state based on polling, PA and MO shouldn't be listed as swing states either IMO. I don't know that I've ever seen a statistical error rate over 5% and usually closer to 4% but whatever keeps the morale up.

I'm not "infallible" I just don't ignore the mountain of facts on the subject. The numbers I quoted are not just one poll its all the polling numbers together but it must be wrong because Rasmussen has Romney in the lead. I'm perfectly relaxed and don't take my annoyance with how Michael Corleone conducts himself on here as being directed at you.

Earlier in the summer I predicted Romney would win Florida. While I'm not completely backing off that just yet, it has to be disheartening for Romney to see his very small lead turn into a deficit that is outside the statistical margin for error.

 

I've also thought that the debates would be huge in this race, and while I still think that's true, I'm more inclined to think that the first debate is going to have the most lasting impact from this point on. If Romney stinks up the place, as he has been stinking it up for the last several days, America will tune him out & Obama coasts to a second term--regardless of how well he does in the other two contests. If he shines, this thing tightens up quickly & he gets some much needed momentum.
