"your kids" - I have HUGE issues with any coach or program who would think kids belong to them.

I would state again regardless of what injustices you think other programs have done to yours, they aren't "your kids" and that thought process is silly.

I had no input into the elementary and hugh school I attended. My kids had no input into the elementary school or high school they attended. So neither my friends nor their friends had any impacted on education decisions. Youth peer pressure never really has impacted adult decisions in the two generations of my family that I have been a part of.

As long as you agree that the kids on your roster are now fair game, I don't have a problem with that! I hear Erdman was very impressed with our O-Line! Facebook is a wonderful thing!

Parents have every right to send there kids wherever they choose to send them, regardless of where they live, as long as they're willing to pay the amount of tuition it takes to put them there and as much as some people don't like it, kids want to play for teams that have a chance to play for a state championship and Beechwood is one of those teams. Now, if the Beechwood coaching staff is openly soliciting these kids to transfer or giving these kids extra benefits or a reduced tuition rate, then, yeah, that's an issue..

Erdman would look really good in blue and white and behind that big SK line!!!!

It just will not end. SK program is not superior and I doubt it ever will be. Congrats on this year's win and move on. If I was the parent of the boys in question I would have made the same decision based on the school academic/athletic package. Our ship sailed from Independence years ago and I am certain we the parents made the right decision. Our future birds love the Friday night atmosphere.

This is a ignorant statement. Kids have the right to go wherever they choose. If they want to go to beechwood where they will have a good chance to win a championship that is their choice. Not to mention a diploma from beechwood looks great.

I would not allow my kid to play for a man like that, and maybe you pioneers should look in the mirror as to why parents do anything they can to get their kids out of there. You're act is becoming quite boorish, and to compare these programs simply is like comparing VMI to UK. Yep, VMI beat them in a game a couple years ago, but thank god their are kids out there who are smart enough to be part of something special and be part of a program and atmosphere like Beechwood. SK is not a program, one only had to watch how they celebrated after beating a 1A school. You would have thought they had won the state championshop. Of course, at SK, they have no idea how that feels so they have to look for little things to hang their hat on. My guess is that not only will those that have to write those checks gladly do so, but I would say after that debacle, from what I am hearing, there will be some more defectors in the near future from SK. I can assure you there is nobody that bleeds Tiger Red more than Gage Erdman. That's the difference in how the kids are being taught. You learn more about a kid in a loss that you do in a victory. I wouldn't doubt at all he complemented SK on their W, that's how he is. But to think for a second he wishes he plays for that classless program is just absurd.
