With Nussbaum not playing I would say Beechwood made a fantastic game of it. If he plays it's a whole different ball game! That kid is a playmaker, outstanding athlete!

Simon Kenton's defense played well, especially in the second half. So did Beechwood's. Only one TD in the second half by the offenses. In the second half each team had one good drive. Simon Kenton scored on their good drive. Beechwood fumbled at the 27. In the rest of the second half, I believe Beechwood had 2 first downs and Simon Kenton had 4 first downs.

It was a great summary...one of the best I've seen BGP. EyeOfTiger is undoubtedly a Beechwood fan, and he was just reporting from his/her team's perspective. I'm sure there was no disrespect intended towards Simon Kenton's defense.

I can not belive that Coach Marksberry would not shake hands with Coach Rash after the game. Pretty petty to me. I love NKY football and when this happens it really p____me off. I hated to hear this tonite because Coach Rash is one of my best friends and a class act, please someone tell me I am wrong on this one. JD

Good reflection on BW's future then since they only lost by 4 and sans the fumble by Lane at the end had a chance to win the game.

 

I would hardly say that a fumble was a reason for a loss. The whole tone of the second half was set when BW let SK run 91 yds for a TD on Special teams. You can hardly blame one kid in the last 2 minutes.

I don't think anyone was blaming one kid for the outcome of the game. I think they were stating the obvious...the QB fumbled on the winning drive.

Plus they may have game planned that against the Tigers. It worked. Beechwood tried to run it over them in the second half and all the gaps were stuffed. Then, to SK's credit, they had enough speed to keep the Tiger running backs from getting to the corner when they bounced it outside. Beechwood needs to keep working on the passing game if they want state title #12.

"your kids" - I have HUGE issues with any coach or program who would think kids belong to them.
