What a great episode. Highly entertaining. Hated to see Jeff go, he was a true gamer.

I really don't think they'll have a chance at all, even if they make it to the final three. If those two are there, I really don't think it matters who the third is (even if it's Penner).

It amazes me how people go on Survivor acting hateful and like an idiot and expect to win. Granted I love Russell Hantz but I knew his social game would be the death of him I still can't recall the hateful jerks ever winning Survivor.

Richard Hatch had the advantage of being first. I remember quite clearly from that season that there were people who were playing a totally individual game while Hatch was making alliances with other people, Rudy in particular. When the tribes merged the group that Hatch used to belong to stuck together as an alliance while the other group splintered. That's where the term Pagonged came from. Hatch's former tribe mates picked off the other tribe one by one, when one of that tribe won immunity they voted someone else off. What they didn't realize was that Hatch had made side deals withing his tribe for after all of the other tribe was gone thus the infamous rat or snake speech by Sue at the final vote. In the final 4 vote Rudy had the opportunity to eliminate Hatch but he said in the confessional that he wouldn't do it because he had given his word not to and then voted for Hatch to win for the same reason. By the time Australia came around everyone was making alliances. I don't think that there's any way that anyone could play the way Hatch did and win anymore.

I watched the episode again last night. Man, that was fun!

 

The panicked scrambling after Penner won immunity was quite amusing. And tribal council was all over the place.

 

Next week looks like it could see Lisa switching. I can't tell if she is playing really smart or really dumb. She could be crazy like a fox.

Great analysis All Tell. I wouldn't mind watching that first season over again and see how much the gameplay has really changed since then. I've still never missed an episode, but those were almost half my life ago.
