Highlands 52 Boyle County 31

Your on a roll PP

It blows my mind that I am pretty much saying Highlands is the better team and that we didn't do the little things to win the game(like catch a clean kickoff, run the right way on a play, secure the ball when being brought down by defenders) against a team of Highlands caliber but no...it's because we were gassed. That's why we couldn't do the little things. I guess last year when we beat Knox Central in the playoffs and lost 5 fumbles in that game that Knox Central was just more gassed than us. Had nothing to do with us actually being better than Knox Central. Yeah, that's it.....they were more gassed than us.

Maybe you should lay off our sons..... If your son was out there then maybe you could speak to what goes on in a football game and practice. I appreciate that you are a fan of Boyle football, but as an adult, I am asking that you not bash KIDS that are out there playing a GAME.

Lighten up, Francis.

This is a forum about high school football. We discuss the details of games involving high school athletes, all of whom are the sons of somebody. Part of playing a game is making mistakes and losing, just as scoring points and winning is. I wasn't at the game, but as far as I can tell, PP92 was just calling a spade a spade.

Take a deep breath, and appreciate the times when you can discuss all the things your team did right.

Who am I bashing? We have a rule against bashing kids on the site. Who am I bashing? Welcome to the site but your claims against me bashing ANY KIDS from Boyle County or from ANY school are false. If me speaking on the mistakes WE made on the field is bashing a kid in your eyes then I apologize but I stand by my statement that I have never bashed a kid from any school on this website nor will I.

Sorry... I didn't know you were on the field. I'll back off, done with this game and ready to move on.

We still ran it well in the second half when we ran the ball. While we were gassed. We threw the ball all of the way down the field on our last drive and scored. While we were gassed. Yes, it was against the Highlands 8th grade team but we were gassed and it was amazing we completed a pass because we were sooooooo gassed. None of the mistakes we made early in the 3rd quarter came because of lack of mental focus. It came because we were gassed. Shoot, even the adjustments you made didn't make a difference. We were gassed. Adjustments smushments. We were flat worn the hell out. Shoot, the 18 players that played crawled to the bus and had their post game food sent through the IVs on the bus ride home because they were too gassed to eat. We haven't practiced all week because we were gassed. They may cancel the game on Saturday because we are gassed. I don't how we'll make it this season since we are still sooooooo gassed.

Now that's funny! And you're probably gassed from writing that post! You guys need some fitness trainers in Boyle Co.!!!!

I was actually pretty close to the field. I could tell if they were gassed or not. That's for sure.

I say WE because as a transplant to the area and with a kid who played basketball as an Eagle/Rebel since the 6th grade I became a part of the Boyle County family. I have invested time, sweat, blood, money and more time to the success of not only Boyle County basketball but all sports at Boyle County. I have participated in numerous fundraisers at Boyle County. Watched many games of many sports at Boyle County. Conversed and broke bread with administrators, teachers, coaches, parents and students at Boyle County. Traveled miles and miles to support Boyle County many times for many different things. My kid graduated last year from Boyle County, quit football after the 7th grade but yet there I was in the endzone under the scoreboard at Highlands last week supporting Boyle County. I guarantee that NOONE else in Boyle County has a problem with me using the word WE when speaking on Boyle County whether I was I the field or not. I am a part of the Boyle County family and always will be and your validation isn't needed to make that a fact.

You have a nice day.

Feel free to move on to the next game in this thread.

Truthfully, I'd love to be a student at Boyle County right now having Jeff Hester as PE teacher. He turns our kids into men physically from their first class with him to their last.

Huh!???!! You are lucky to have a fan that supports and cares this much about your team. He has debated with all of us in support of the Rebels all week! He has the passion for this team, so that sometimes does make it feel like a "we". "We" "They"...you know what he means. Don't bash your biggest promoter! Fans are allowed to be frustrated. He is so frustrated because I'm sure he wanted it for the kids and community and would have loved to see them win that big game and realizes how close they really were. The score didn't tell the story of that game and he only points out the unfortnate events of what might have been. Ease up!!

If I hear that Boyle got beat because of depth one more time.......
Boyle got beat because of who ya width.

There; is that better? :D

Have you considered switching to ethanol?
Not to tell the Emperor he has no clothes on, (including the "likes"), but bad knees, bad ankle/shoulder, conditioning issues all factor in to platooning. It's hard enough to do it at a high level and almost impossible to do at a high level being "nicked". That '09 team was something else...but they also prolly led the leagues in "nicks"!

I have no idea what in hell you are talking about. PM me.

If you are not to gassed can you tell me where is Jeff Hester originally from. The name sounds familiar...

Garrard County. He played there and was the head coach there before he came to Boyle if I am not mistaken. Our boys graduated together and I met him when our boys began the 6th grade.
