I'm just trying to figure out why the gay/lesbian community doesn't have anything better to do then worry about what the CEO of CFA thinks. I personally couldn't care less if two men or two women want to marry. Doesn't affect me one way or the other. But I'm an so tired of hearing about. Are they really surprised by this? The majority of America is against gay marriage.

Chick-Fil-A donated money to groups whose mission was to deny certain American citizens their rights. That's not pushing an agenda?

Did they go to the Gay Right's organization or headquarters, and present the checks to those groups?

They obviously aren't tolerant of the Chick-Fil-A President's beliefs. I liken it to a Pastor going to a wedding for a gay couple and preaching that homosexuality is wrong, and they are destined for Hell if they don't stop. What would either hope to accomplish?

Different example:

Business owner says that abortions should be 100% for by the govt. Pro-Life group shows up at his business with signs saying "Abortion is murder."

Same as CFA/gays, right?

Did they go to the Gay Right's organization or headquarters, and present the checks to those groups?

I doubt it. Why?

So they cry for tolerance one minute, and then want to push their agenda the next?

Isn't Chick-Fil-A pushing their agenda by donating money and making public statements, including alluding to bringing God's judgment on us for considering/allowing gay marriage?

Assuming that God does NOT want gay marriage (ignoring the debate on whether or not government should be decided based on any religion's teachings), I'm pretty confident that he also does not want promiscuity in marriage, abuse our any type against spouses or children), and many other marriage issues that were not pointed out by the Chick-Fil-A statement. I don't know. Perhaps Chick-Fil-A also donates to spouse abuse organizations or AA or something similar. I would hope so, if the sancity of marriage is truly their vision and it is not just anti-gay organizations.

I doubt it. Why?

Then it's not the same.

I don't know you well enough to know if you're kidding or being sarcastic, but there is no need to apologize for his beliefs. All this politically correct crap makes me want to puke.

I answered your first question, I'll answer your next question when you answer mine.

Just for perspective, let me change your post slightly. Travel back a decade or two.

I'm just trying to figure out why the interracial marriage community doesn't have anything better to do then worry about what the CEO of CFA thinks. I personally couldn't care less if a black person and a white person want to marry. Doesn't affect me one way or the other. But I'm an so tired of hearing about. Are they really surprised by this? I'm just trying to figure out why the female community doesn't have anything better to do then worry about what the CEO of CFA thinks. I personally couldn't care less if a woman votes. Doesn't affect me one way or the other. But I'm an so tired of hearing about. Are they really surprised by this? The majority of America is against women's suffrage.

I think that if you are fighting to have rights that others have, but are currently denied to you, then you have to be vocal to get changes made. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

See my response to Clyde. Did a reporter ask him about the other things you mentioned? I feel confident in saying that he's against everything you mentioned.

So now you're calling the CFA CEO a racist and a sexist. That's nice.

 No. I'm not. I was saying that if the circumstances were a different issue of rights being denied.

Then it's not the same.

Some people have the cash to push their agenda without ever leaving the comfort of an office chair. Some people have to resort to other methods.

Anyone else ever have the Eddie Murphy refrain from Delirious in your head about homosexuality? "I have a dream that I go to Hollywood and find out Mr. T is gay." "Hey boy, Hey boy, you look mighty cute in them jeans".

It has nothing to do with the topic, feel free to move along. Just how my brain works I guess.
