He didn't shoot it as well as Todd (in the first half), but his total court game was very nice. I still don't understand Listerman's choice of defender on Vories in the last possession, but what do I know.

I think Guiduigli (SP?) did a very good job on Jacobs in the second half. Vories gets to the basket about everytime he wants and he finishes very well. Highlands is a very good team and will be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the season. Just in case there were any doubters coming into the game (which I know there were), Highlands is for real.

Wow, what a game. LN is quickly becoming a basketball fan, well at least a Highlands basketball fan. Great game by both teams. Playoff type atmosphere. Fans on both sides were into it. Refs did a good job keeping things in check. Not a physical game at all. Congrats to the kids on both teams.

How did you guys get into the game? I saw LN standing outside just as I was at about ten minutes to 7.

Wow.........CCH is in for some battles the next couple of weeks, they got to forget this game.

Not a physical game at all.

Henry, respectfully, I could not disagree with you more than I do.

You're right, they have a very tough stretch coming up and frankly they aren't playing very well right now. HHS did a nice job on TJ in the 2nd half and CovCath had to work VERY hard for their points. Listerman better find a rotation that can score soon or they could be in for a string of tough games.

When you play defense and shoot free throws like HHS did tonight, you'll have a chance to win any game. That man-to-man is the best I've seen. They get after it and contest everything.

If tonight was soldout by 7, think how hard it will be to get into HC's gym tomorrow.

Can you tell us how rough was it (for those of us that were next door at KY Elite experiencing open gym night and listening on radio)? :D

I thought the Simpson kid was a bit passive tonight offensively. You can see he's a player but he just didn't get very aggressive when he had the opportunity. He did, however, have a key tip late that kept the ball alive and HHS ultimately scored.

I'm not going to get into specifics for fear that I suspend myself, but suffice it to say that there were a lot of bodies on the floor.

If you were at last year's game, it wasn't that bad. However, by NKY standards, it was physical - lots of bodies on the floor, a few aggressive fouls.

Was this a normal HHS student turnout or was this a "big game" turnout? They were loud.

Was anybody physical for Highlands other than Guidugli?

The other Highlands guys just don't strike me as all that physical. Well maybe Eaton, but nobody else.

Johnson (Tanner?) and Smith both play solid defense and Vories plays hard...

I was very impressed with Vories tonight.

The Bluebirds JV has some big, physical (football) studs who like to bang. Who won JV tonight?
