July 3, 201214 yr I just switched offices at work. The former tenant was an extremely hard working, very loyal, gay man. Plantman, just to be safe I wiped "the gay" off the doors and desk before I moved all my stuff in. I also checked my insurance policy and apparently it doesn't cover the cost of "the gay" immunizations. Sure hope Mr Clean works.
July 4, 201214 yr I am a Fiscal Conservative, a Christian and voted against alcohol sales in my hometown just last week. That said I have had several co-workers that were both openly homosexual and not open about it. IMHO it is their life and they should live it how ever they please. I actually prefer allowing marriage. I couldn't have put my wife on my insurance before we were married, so why should someone be allowed to put their boyfriend / girlfriend on their insurance just because they are the same sex and life partners. I don't think there should be any special allowances made for Gay people in any way, but they should have the same rights everyone else does and that includes getting married and when needed divorced. As a Christian I am morally opposed to homosexuality, but "I judge not lest I be judged". As a conservative I think the political debate between the parties on this point is to much divisiveness for too little of an issue, there are bigger issues that need to be addressed. If I have argued with you in P&R forum my thoughts on this may being shocking, but this is how I feel on this issue.
July 4, 201214 yr I am well aware of the sentiments of most of Middle America when it comes to their thoughts on homosexuality. I've also found that a lot of people are unwilling to admit publicly their true feelings on the matter, because it has become less and less accepted to be outwardly bigoted against gays. I travel to both coast periodically and find them no more 'enlightened' as 'Middle America' (or Fly Over Country). In fact, I worked for a gay person - was actually hired into 2 companies by him. We were on call 24x7 and there no personal secrets and even if there was his status was not hidden at all. A number of us followed him to a new start-up. We all knew his 'orientation'. Including a an older co-worker who was very devote, read his Bible at lunch and always said a quite, quick prayer before his lunch. But this Christian person never had a single issue working for a gay person at all. And had followed him from one company to another like most of us. Then we had new guy transfer in from the NY area - that enlightened area. Nobody went out of their way to tell him about 'orientation' of our boss. We never even thought to bring up. After about a month or 2 he 'found out' and was appalled and shocked and could not believe he was working for a gay man. So much for the enlightened coasts and the backwardness of Middle America. Mr. Cooper said he kept his status on the down low for 'professional reasons' - while working at the enlightened coast darling network CNN - what does that say of CNN or the enlightened coasts? The enlightened coast may not have the Westboro Baptists close by, but at the professional level they are as homophobic (and racists) as 'Middle America'.

July 4, 201214 yr A while back I posted in a thread that the end of Human kind would not be from a disaster or warfare but from its own undoing. This is just another example. My point in that post was that everyone is turning gay, and by doing so, humans will no longer reproduce and therefore extinct themselves. This is just another example of proof to my point. I hate to break it to you or any one else that had their hopes up but I am not turning gay any time soon. Just thought I should get that out there especially if there was any one else holding on to that false hope.
July 4, 201214 yr I wonder when Anderson Cooper is going to admit to being an idiot? Does any one else find it humorous that Lauren Lappin is a lesbian?
July 4, 201214 yr Megan Rapinoe...us women's soccer team....announces she is gay. What could possibly be next? Members of the LPGA, the US Softball team, say it isn't so :ohbrother: Another shocker.

July 4, 201214 yr I don't know about 6k but I'm pretty certain at least one was performing. :sssh: No idea where this is from or what it's related to but it made me chuckle!! Renee Z did cite fraud in their divorce.
July 4, 201214 yr I haven't seen his new show, but Cooper is far from an idiot. His work with CNN was excellent and I respect his journalistic talents and especially the human interest aspect he infuses into "issues'.
