July 3, 201214 yr I recall reading years and years ago that approximately 10% of the population is homosexual (Kinsey report, maybe?). Is there any evidence that this figure is on the rise, or are we just becoming more accepting (some present company excluded)?
July 3, 201214 yr A while back I posted in a thread that the end of Human kind would not be from a disaster or warfare but from its own undoing. This is just another example. My point in that post was that everyone is turning gay, and by doing so, humans will no longer reproduce and therefore extinct themselves. This is just another example of proof to my point. I always wondered how that happened.

Is there any evidence that this figure is on the rise, or are we just becoming more accepting (some present company excluded)? So of the 60,000 people at the Brothers of the Sun concert, 6000 were gay? Not from the "outfits" that I saw people wearing that night. No gay man would be caught dead in cut off flannel. Although....right now on Judge Matthis, it is the Pittsburg Gay man of the year being sued by the Pittsburg gay association for refusing to march in the gay pride parade......a coincidence? or a conspiracy?
July 3, 201214 yr ... humans will no longer reproduce and therefore extinct themselves. Isn't that what happened to the Shaker religion? Not the gay part...but the not reproducing...because they practice complete celibacy.

Actually there has been dispute about that figure and how reliable Kinsey's methods were. Some place the percentages anywhere from 2-5%. There are obvious barriers to coming up with the true figure.

Was there supposed to be a smiley at the end ? Zero chance you are serious, correct?

I don't know about 6k but I'm pretty certain at least one was performing. :sssh:
July 3, 201214 yr Actually there has been dispute about that figure and how reliable Kinsey's methods were. Some place the percentages anywhere from 2-5%. There are obvious barriers to coming up with the true figure. I've done a little reading today and it looks like 3.5% to 4% self-report. My guess is that would be low, but in line with your numbers. Interestingly, when the general public is asked "what percentage of people do you think are gay", the number goes through the roof. In the 20s.
July 3, 201214 yr You need to get out more. I am well aware of the sentiments of most of Middle America when it comes to their thoughts on homosexuality. I've also found that a lot of people are unwilling to admit publicly their true feelings on the matter, because it has become less and less accepted to be outwardly bigoted against gays.

July 3, 201214 yr I do not understand the infatuation of publicly declaring one's sexual preference. Me neither, maybe it's a gay thing, I'm straight and have never felt the need to announce it to the world.

So it's not that it's accepted more? It's that those against it are unwilling to criticize because it's frowned upon?
