Lucas out at Lloyd???

Featured Replies

Chad Molley played in the Erlanger Lions Program and for Lloyd High School. He has coached at Dixie under Tom Sprtzkey and last year at Lloyd under Roy Lucas Jr. And I think he served some time at Simon Kenton early on. He is a very knowledgeable young man and has a good knowledge of the game. JD

I don't want to kick Gametime and Lloyd while they are down, but could the decision to leave be hastened by the Senior class departing and what is coming up behind?

Again I know this year's (2005) team was very injury riddled but wasn't this suppossed to be THE year if there ever was going to be one?

Lucas was the first to express intrest in the Beechwood job from what I understand. In fact, I think he called the Sat. after Yeagle announced he was going to move on. I would also add that Roy was part of Ys staff when it was at its best and they were ALL loyal to Yeagle.

Roy Lucas would get my stamp of approval........... :thumb:

Maybe. I heard he took Coach Cooley leaving pretty hard as well. 05 was "THE" year in many eyes...

Mac and Roy are very close. I'm suprised Cooley left but he's a family man, and you have to respect that. What does the time line look like? Did Cooley announce around the same time Yeagle left?

He was the DB and Backs coach while at Dixie and also OC for the JV in 99 and 00 I think. He also helped do some of the offensive play calling for varsity those same years I believe from the booth. He was a good assistant coach.

Still scratching my head over that one....

"One thing is our experience," Lucas said. "We have eight starters coming back on both sides, including our whole offensive line and our starting three backs."

The Juggernauts return one of the elite running backs in Northern Kentucky in senior tailback Dara Webb, who last season rushed for 1,411 yards on 230 carries and 19 touchdowns.

3 O Linemen were lost for the Season (two early) and they had multiple other starters miss a lot of games. That's the way the ball bounces sometimes...

Plus Webb wasn't 100% I don't believe at any time in the season.

I agree with you. Roy would be a very good choice if Beechwood decided to hire him.

Ah--actually--he didn't even wait that long. He was at practice everyday the week after Lloyd was eliminated. Sounds like the perfect guy allright. Get beat--start asking the head coach if he was going to move on . . so he could position himself in the right place at the right time. REAL CLASSY. I wonder if his players knew where he was and what he was doing? That is exactly the type of guy that I would want at Beechwood. When times get tough--throw in the towel!!!!!!! (Ah--no thanks).

Real quick--he couldn't get it done at Lloyd with good talent. What makes any of you think that he could get it done at Beechwood. 2A is arguably the easiest class. Not to mention the fact that there has been more than enough talent at Lloyd to be successful.

wow..Dunhoft is on BGP. What's up John.. Chad Molly would do a fine job at the big LLOYD. I would love to help with the offense, but I have relocated to the mountains. Tell Molly I said hey, and tell the boys at the Dixie Club I said hey as well. I'll let you see if you can figure out who I am before I give it away. see ya

Roy would do a fine job at Beechwood, he almost took SK to the playoffs and did a good job at Lloyd.

Quick I think you are hiding some things you are not telling us. Come on now you say you are a coach at Beechwood but you don't know anything. That is hard for me to believe. I saw John Murray last week sitting with Chris Wera. He said he doesn't know anything about the Head Coaching job. You people know more than what your telling. I totally understand that. But diehard Beechwood fans and former players want to know who the new coach is just like everyone is does. It is Jan 7. They are going through winter weights right now without a head coach. I would think that doesn't help them at all right now.
