Another part of me is depressed for him, because it's Charlotte. * Really looking forward to the Wall/Beal backcourt in Washington next year. Love both players. * When they came out of high school, I never would have imagined Terrence Ross getting drafted higher than Terrence Jones. * It pains me to type this, but I really like New Orleans' pick at #10 with Austin Rivers. * Shocked to see PJ3 fall almost out of the first round. * Just one European in the first round? Is that right? * Hate that Doron Lamb fell to #42, but loved seeing Darius getting drafted by the Hornets. Hope both of them make a lot of teams regret passing them up.

Perfect situation, isn't expected to come in and do much, surrounded by hard working guys who will keep him motivated. Also gives them something to work with if they are unable to keep Ibaka. May end up letting him walk and end up gaining a better player to replace him with in PJ3, although not the defensive stopper Ibaka is. I'm sure PJ3 wanted to go higher but not sure he could have found that many other ideal situations to be in.

June 29, 201214 yr Depends on the situation and draft class. Some guys came out while the iron seemed to be hot and fell. Others stayed and are judged for random draft projections from 2 plus months before it happens. The elite guys will always be just that. The rest is a crap shoot... I don't think any sophomore that would have gone lottery last year improved. All fell and some fell more than a little.

Reality is they were exposed more for who they actually are instead of who they were projected to be a year ago. That's the true risk of staying a year too long...
