Kudos to Lebron last night. Can't deny that he was CLUTCH in that one. Hit some huge baskets down the stretch and knocked down all of his FT's, while Durant missed some FT's and then the easy fallaway that could have evened the game. (I didn't like the decision by Lebron to take a pull-up three when Miami was up two and running the shot clock down. That would be my only critique. Minor.)

 

This is the most intriguing and entertaining finals matchup in a long, long time. Two superstars, Durant and Lebron, two great sidekicks in Westbrook and Wade, excellent teams that play entertaining basketball. It has been a while since the finals had a matchup like that. It makes it even better that the two main guys are delivering the goods. KD and LBJ have both been lights out through two games.

 

I haven't been this drawn to watching the finals since MJ was winning titles in Chicago.

I think Miami probably came out on the good side with the officiating, but they didn't determine the game. OKC determined the game by once again not being ready to play until the second half.

I do not blame Westbrook necessarily. He is just not a PG, yet he is put in that position as the primary decision maker. He is a freak athlete.

Also props to the Baloshiraptor for getting crucial rebounds. He was great on the offensive boards. Seemed as if Wade set the tone early with his aggressiveness. He also made a lot of big shots through the game to slow down runs.

Huge win for Miami on the road. If they can get just 2-3 at home in the next three games they will be in a decent spot to clinch. Would be even more impressive if they win 3 straight with the only home court they will see until next season. I knew if Miami was to win this series they had to get one of the first two in OKC, now that is accomplished its on to the next.

 

I thought KD was going to go off ala Reggie Miller there late in the 4th. Had the bucket, then they got the steal that led to a Durant 3. Miami had a pretty decent size lead but the Thunder, and more importantly, Durant closed that down in a hurry. He can sure put the points on the board.

I wouldn't exactly call Wade a sidekick when he is one of the top 5 players in the NBA, and at worst top 10. The Heat have two Superstars, they just have yet to figure out how to always play well together.

Which for the Heat may be a good thing. Last year it seemed as if there was too many chiefs and not enough indians. Nobody wanted to step on each others toes and they could never get into a real flow of playing with one another. Now that it has transformed from being Wade's team to Bron's team, it has allowed them to play much crisper on the offensive end and I think the whole sharing the starring role thing had a lot to do with it. This team needs Wade to produce big, but this team plays much better when they have one guy leading the troops instead of two or three.
