And Stern, rather than be such a condescending clown, should have stated what he said in the middle of his actual response, where he said, "No" and then mentioned how people would have talked about this if Jordan had got the #1 pick, or Brooklyln, etc. That was the only part of his answer that I thought was solid. The wife beating comment & the having to talk to someone important comment were way out of line.

 

So I feel addressing the issue is certainly legitimate, but I think I would have handled the wording differently.

Maybe it's an age thing. That response from Stern has been a common retort to the type of question Rome asked. It's a leading question and Stern was pointing that out. Stern wasn't truly asking if Rome beat his wife. He was pointing out the absurdity of the question.
