May 31, 201214 yr Whatever. The biggest play of the game was when Rondo got hit across the face. It wasn't a difficult call and nearly impossible to miss. I promise you that if Wade got hit like that the whistle would have blown. Obvious foul that changed the game. Throw in the fact that the game started with 7 straight fouls on the Celtics and coming off a game where everytime they looked at the ref there was a technical. FWIW, I have always liked Lebron and thought he got unfairly criticized for not stepping up down the strecth. After last night I'm not sure it's unfair.

What did he do wrong down the stretch last night? With the exception of the missed assignment on Ray's open 3 to tie the game his defense was superb. On the ball and off the ball. He also had multiple timely rebounds including rebounding his own miss to preserve the ball for the last shot. He started off the 4th missing two free throws but he made all of his free throws down the stretch(unlike Wade). Making one game winning shot at the buzzer doesn't make you clutch the whole quarter: see Durant, Kevin. I understand more is expected of Lebron but the Heat need Wade and Lebron together to win. They got Lebron all night but it wasn't until Wade finally started playing in the 3rd that the Heat took the lead. Wade shrunk in the 4th and the Heat lost the lead. Wade scored 8 in OT, the Heat won. Lebron did his thing the whole game. The Heat go as Wade go. After Lebron missed the shot twitter blew up on Lebron with some even saying Wade should have taken the shot. If Wade takes the shot twitter would blow up saying Lebron folded again. Unless he takes and makes every game winning shot he'll get blasted. That's unfair and a standard that not even MJ can live up to and while Lebron has called himself the king he has never said he'll make every game winning shot he takes.
May 31, 201214 yr Wow... That game was awesome to watch. Rondo... Rondo.... RONDO. Like MJ, if you would have told me before the game that Rondo would play like that, I would have bet my life savings that the Celtics walk away with a victory. He was an absolute man last night. He did get hosed on that non-call, which may or may not have been the difference in the game. No telling how it would've gone down from that point though. Congrats to the Heat for keeping it together. Going to be tough for the Celtics to come back now.
May 31, 201214 yr PP I fear you are starting to become a... gasp.... Lebron fan? :lol: :lol: I've always liked him despite him being a tool. I enjoy watching him play and I have been on the other side of the Lebron isn't clutch argument as well. I guess I am evolving? :lol: Plus, I have began to see that Wade is more of the problem in Miami than people let on and Bosh getting hurt may have been the best thing for the Heat. Lebron plays better when he has more people to carry. He may not have made baskets down the stretch last night but he did everything else down the stretch including hit his free throws which is something he has had problems with for a long time. Yeah, I guess I am a full fledged Lebron fan. I would like to see him get a ring this year over everyone else left playing. He's got a long way to go though.
