May 31, 201214 yr The biggest play of the game was when Rondo got hit across the face. It wasn't a difficult call and nearly impossible to miss. I promise you that if Wade got hit like that the whistle would have blown. Obvious foul that changed the game. Throw in the fact that the game started with 7 straight fouls on the Celtics and coming off a game where everytime they looked at the ref there was a technical. FWIW, I have always liked Lebron and thought he got unfairly criticized for not stepping up down the strecth. After last night I'm not sure it's unfair. As a casual NBA fan with no rooting interest for either team, I have to agree with you about the fouls. Sure looked pretty one sided to me. On Lebron, I like him and haven't seen enough games to comment on his stepping up in the stretch.
May 31, 201214 yr Everyone wanted Lebron to take the big shots. He did. He missed grabbed the board and prevented Boston from getting a chance to win the game. Then he demanded the ball back again and missed but his team won in OT. Do all the haters want him taking the shot or does he actually only get a break if he hits a shot as the horn sounds that gives them the lead when they were losing in game 7 of the finals?

June 1, 201214 yr Hopefully, the home team can get some home cooking from the refs tonight. Yea, I'm a Celtic fan , but have no hate for the Heat or their players. The missed calls ,or no calls were obvious. Rondo had two non calls, the one across his face and the one in back of his head that knocked him to the floor. Pierce was getting mugged every time he got the ball, and after a while Paul just smiled, because he knew he would never get the call. If the Celtics are to win tonight, the bench has to score some points while the starters are out. I'd say Rondo won't score forty points, but I can promise he will give it his all, every minute of the game.

Lebron probably gets fouled everytime he goes to the basket, but since he is so big and strong a lot of those don't get called because it does not do much to him. So yeah the Heat have had a lot of calls, but there are are kinds of more calls that could be called against teams when guarding Lebron.

June 2, 201214 yr I was expecting an intelligent reply from a mature adult, but clearly, that didn't happen, How about this?(begins to act like my 64 year old father) The Miami Heat's Lebron James and Dwyane Wade attack the rim with reckless abandon(save for at the end of game 2 when Lebron chose to shoot a jumper over Rondo instead of attacking the rim but I digress...) and when they do so they are fouled frequently. In fact Lebron is so big and strong that I would argue that he is fouled everytime he has the ball but it isn't always called. The Boston Celtics are a jump shooting team. Even Kevin Garnett shoots jumpers on the perimeter more than the average power forward. Since Pierce, Allen, Garnett, Bass and now Rondo are shooting jumpers they make it harder on themselves to draw fouls. If the Celtics would attack the rim I think their free throw attempts would go up. Granted I am just a casual NBA fan who is on Bud Light number 3 so that is about as mature an answer as you'll get from me since it breaks the tone of the NBA forum. Thank you for listening.
