Here it is - Bill Clinton made a statement about needing to be eligible to be President on August 4th, 2008 - Obama's birthday - while he was in Africa (not sure if was Kenya).

 

You want to check out what happened to a close Clinton friend and super delegate for the convention on August 13, 2008.

Why did Brian Schatz (Hawaii Democratic Party leader in 2008) refuse to declare Obama eligible in 2008 as required by Hawaii law by removing a standard paragraph on Article II eligibility, thus leaving Nancy Pelosi to submit written paperwork in 2008 to meet Hawaii state law and have Obama/Biden on the Hawaii ballot?

I have read the reports, I have read the source material referenced in the reports and I have read other 3rd party analysis on 'both side' for each of the reports.

 

These reports are what your Congressman/woman uses to answer questions on this subject. Since the information (correct or incorrect) will be used to respond any query put a Congress person you should be aware of the source of that answer. It is these reports.

Additional objective background for this subject:

 

1. Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution

2. Minor v. Happersett ruling - includes specific definition of 'natural born citizen'

3. Immigration Act of 1790 - includes the only codified (legal) reference to 'natural born citizen'.

4. Senate Resolution 511 (SR 511) - a non-binding (i.e. legally worthless) resolution 'declaring' McCain a 'natural born citizen'.

5. The terms jus soli and jus sanguinis.

 

I am not saying Obama is this or that or that he was born here or there. But there are facts and elements with the status quo that are out of synch with long standing legal standards.

 

I will not debate there here. It is too tiring. If you think the answer to this subject is 'easy' then you have not done your homework.

Nobody is on here saying he was born in Kenya. His own literary agency listed him as born in Kenya up until 07. Where did they get that info? Did they randomly guess that?

I read news from several sources, left-leaning and right-leaning. Never heard any of this stuff you're claiming.

 

But besides, what's wrong with the speculative question I asked? That's all I was asking anyway, is for people to step away from their hatred for a moment and look honestly at this issue, with the knowledge of what we've seen in the past from the Clintons in terms of their willingness to destroy an opponent. Why did they choose not to this time, when the stakes were at their highest?

The Clintons like 95+% of Americans believe he was born in the US. Why did his literary agency report he was born in Kenya until he was a candidate to be President? I'm not now saying he was bon in Kenyaim asking where the wrong info came from.
