May 19, 201214 yr According to the geniuses at Harvard he was. Do we really 100% know this isn't true? The Vetting - Exclusive - Obama's Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: 'Born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii' My son is one of those geniuses at Harvard. I can't understand why he has withheld this from his papa all this time.
May 19, 201214 yr I just don't see how any agency involved with determining the POTUS could mess up that horribly. It doesn't make logical sense for Obama to even get the Democratic nomination if there was even the slightest proof that he isn't natural born. I refuse to believe that the most powerful or 2nd most powerful country in the world can't find out the nationality of a presidential hopeful let alone win and become the POTUS. It's too far fetched, too unlikely and frankly it insults my intelligence. A country with a trillion dollars and millions of resources doesn't know where Obama was born? Are you kidding me? We have the resources to put a satellite in space that can watch me sit in my recliner and type this post right now in 1080p at the NASA space center in Houston, Texas but you want me to believe that Barack Obama found a way to hoodwink THE ENTIRE WORLD about where he was born? I'll just end right there......smh..... To add: If he actually was a Muslim, or not a natural-born American citizen, do you anti-Dem/anti-Obama folks honestly, truly believe that the Clintons -- who you have painted as arguably the most ruthless, unethical politicians in American history, with the best opposition research people in the biz at their disposal -- would've just said, "No, we'll take a pass on this information and instead just try to beat him straight-up in the primary?" Again, ask yourself -- would Bill and Hilary ignore this information, which would almost certainly have catapulted Hilary to victory? Or, are you essentially saying you were wrong about the ethical caliber of the Clintons, just so you could be right about far-fetched stuff about Obama? There are plenty of things to hammer Obama on. Just let the silly stuff go, because it makes it very easy for rational people to dismiss your opinions as the ravings of a lunatic.
May 19, 201214 yr I completely forgot about the Clintons. No way Hilary keeps her mouth shut about that. Not a chance. Bill either.
May 19, 201214 yr Bottom line ... his mother is a natural-born American citizen. Therefore, he is, too.
May 19, 201214 yr I despise the Obama presidency and just about everything that he has done and I truly fear for America if he gets a second term. That said I haven't read one post in this thread nor will I. These absurd assertions about Obama's lineage and place of birth do nothing other then make those that throw them about look foolish. It also takes focus away from the real issues which is exactly what the Obama machine wants.

May 19, 201214 yr I think all this comes from Obama himself lying on something to get his college paid for.....
May 19, 201214 yr Bottom line ... his mother is a natural-born American citizen. Therefore, he is, too. This fact should end all this discussion. Even if Obama were born in Kenya, he is still a US citizen because his mother is a US citizen. Unless, of course, the birthers don't believe Obama's mother is a citizen. As others have said, this is tiresome and counter productive. This whole discussion hurts Obama's oppposition more than it hurts Obama.
May 20, 201214 yr The way I read it, the article wasn't making a case for citizenship and whether President Obama was born American or born Kenyan. I think it was making a case for President Obama's ability to manipulate his image over the years and because of that many people don't really know who he is. That being said, my reply is simply...duh, he is a politician. Isn't that what all accepted politicians do, through advisers stick their finger in the air to find out what people want to hear then present themselves as such. In this case, Obama is no different than most politicians out there these days. How would we ever know who they really are, through all the goofy mud slinging, flip flops and spins put on everything. Truth is that when a politician comes along that is genuine and real, most of the time he is not very popular, shredded by the media or unaccepted by the main stream.
May 20, 201214 yr Here are some of the papers provided to Congress on 'eligibility' by Congressional Research Service (CRS). 2009: 41131059 MoC Memo What to Tell Your Constituents in Answer to Obama Eligibility 2010: CRS Memo: Birth Certificates of Presidential Candidates and Standing to Challenge Eligibility - 3/18/10 2011: Qualifications for President and the
May 20, 201214 yr Bottom line ... his mother is a natural-born American citizen. Therefore, he is, too. Legally, that is not established. The only SCOTUS rulings and laws refer to parents (plural). It is a nice rationalization, but it is not backed up by anything legal. If by chance he were born in Kenya. And I do not believe that the case at all. He would not have acquired US citizenship at birth. To do so under the law at the time a mother had to have lived in the US for 5 years after the age of 14. Stanley Ann Dunham Obama was only 18 at the time of the birth. Parents do not need to be 'natural born citizens' for their children to be 'natural born citizens'. Parents must be 'citizens' at the time of their child's birth. The status of 'natural born' is not one conveyed from parent to child automatically. The supreme court in Minor v. Happerset specifically defined 'natural born citizen' in the actual ruling. To complicate matters. Obama could claim rights to British citizenship today if he wanted. His father, a British citizen in 1961, bestowed that right. And unless British form RN is submitted and he formally and specifically renounces this right he can claim British citizenship - today, tomorrow or in the future. Seems an odd capability for a natural born citizen.

May 20, 201214 yr Manage to grasp that straw yet? Denial can be comforting. Care to point out what is inaccurate?

So, you've gone out of your way to legitimize the birthers' claims. That being said, care to address my earlier post? Are the Clintons simply not as ruthless as they've been previously painted to be?
