May 17, 201214 yr Not sure why you guys keep asking for him to close. It's Marshall's job to lose. Because no one scratches against Chapman. No one.
May 17, 201214 yr Just think how good this bullpen would be if they had Madson... And/or Masset, Bray...
May 17, 201214 yr Joel Luckhaupt @jluckhaupt All that being said, Chapman is on pace for something like 5 WAR as a RP this year. Only 15 or so SP reached that last year. #Reds These are video game numbers 19.1 IP 6 H 5 BB 34 K and obviously 0 ER. His last 7 innings have been 1 H 1 BB 15 K

May 17, 201214 yr Author Cozart 6 Stubbs 8 Votto 3 Phillips 4 Bruce 9 Ludwick 7 Frazier 5 Hanigan 2 Latos RHP I guess Heisey has to have 3 hits every game.:lol: And yes I know Ludwick is 2-6 with a HR against Dickey.
May 17, 201214 yr I'd personally like to see Costanzo get at least one start at 3rd against a RHP with Frazier in LF...Maybe I will see it soon...
May 17, 201214 yr Author ^ They gotta get Luddy going. Yes they do. He's been a big disappointment. I didn't expect him to tear it up or anything, but I certainly didn't expect him to hit below .200 either.
May 17, 201214 yr Bronson 's thoughts on Chapman. Cincinnati Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman will eventually be a starter - MLB News | FOX Sports on MSN Very interesting take by Bronson. Sounds like Dusty wants no part of moving Chapman this year. Marshall has done a pretty good job closing. Why is everyone so concerned about him? Same people that want Chapman to close now want him to start this year. It makes zero sense.
May 17, 201214 yr Yes they do. He's been a big disappointment. I didn't expect him to tear it up or anything, but I certainly didn't expect him to hit below .200 either. I was slightly kidding. I know that is what Baker would say.
May 17, 201214 yr I was slightly kidding. I know that is what Baker would say. That is exactly what he would say...However it would be nice to see, When the Reds pursed Ludwick I was thinking there were better options to pursue...I eventually talked myself into liking it by going back a few years to when he was a legit bat...It kills me how hitters just tank in a matter of a couple years, in Ludwicks case I don't think it is due to injury because I don't remember him ever being hurt...It's sad but I don't think he has it anymore, It wouldn't surprise me to see him end the year below. 200 or just above it...
