Reds at Mets Series 05/16 thru 05/17/2012

Featured Replies

For all of the issues that we've discussed over the years, the lack of a leadoff hitter has been a constant.

I would be for that the Reds are last in steals anyways so that doesnt matter...However I think Hanigans best spot is 2 with Phillips leading off...Then Votto, Frazier, Bruce, Heisey, Cozart, Stubbs...Stubbs could steal more often down there without the worry of getting thrown out in front of Votto

No doubt, and it likely will be until (If) Billy Hamilton makes it to the bigs.

48 ip, 24 Bb for EV ...39 ip, 18 Bb for ML...This is coming into today, I was done with EV more than anyone however Latos is proving to be frustrating to watch pitch for me...I loved him before the trade I was a huge fan and I definitely am now that he is with the Reds, I know he will turn it around but Im ready to see his full potential...

What happened? Was it bad base running by Votto?

2nd and 3rd nobody out, and the Reds don't score because of some pitiful base running, or coaching. Don't know which one.

Don't know who is to blame. Either way it was stupid. Stubbs wouldn't have scored on that play.

I think Votto went on his own, he thought he could steal one...If not it wouldnt surprise me either, Berry is as boneheaded as dusty...The only guy on the coaching staff I actually like are Billy Hatcher and the bullpen coach porky lopez...

I just hate to see him throw extra pitches. EV is on another planet. Allowing runs in the 1st inning was his favorite thing to do. Latos doesn't do that.

How about a quick inning Latos and maybe you can get through the 7th and get to Chapman?

What the hell is Votto doing?

I don't care if he is sending you. You stay put there.

This is where Latos imploded on Saturday. Somebody please tell me the "toothpick" has somebody getting loose.

He is mowing people down but like you if he wouldnt lose focus and walk guys so much he would mow down even more...He has so much ability and the ability to go late into games and be a work horse...He is built and very durable, I expect at least 7 from him more often than not and he usually struggles to get through 5...

Not even within a foot on any of those 4 pitches. He's done.

Who is up in the pen?
