May 17, 201214 yr Author My point is that W/L is not the way you make that call. In 3 of Homer's last 4 games he's pitched 6+ giving up 1, 2, and 3 ERs and got no decision. Leake pitched well enough last night to get a W. Didn't. Point is Leake has pretty much sucked most of his starts this year. You can't keep going to the bullpen early every 5th day.

The question posed was why Chapman being moved into the rotation was debated/discussed so much. No matter what side of the issue you come down on whether Chapman should be a starter or remain in the pen, that is why it is discussed often.
May 17, 201214 yr I understand the debate. Just not the emphasis put on it. The clear shortcoming for the Reds is offensive production. The impact of a # 5 starter pales in comparison to how anemic the Reds are offensively.
