The government shouldn't be in the business of recognizing marriages. Let the government grant civil unions. This can be used for purposes of determining tax status, next of kin, etc. With that being said, I would have no problem with Ace's church marrying a homosexual couple and AL's church not recognizing that marriage. I would think that a church would require a civil union also be granted, but perhaps not. Do you also feel that any couple (either man/woman or man/man, etc.) that is wed in a non-religious ceremony (justice of the peace, etc.) should not be classified as "married", but also in a civil union?

And please, answer without saying "the Bible says so". I want a real world example of how them calling it a marriage has a negative impact on you. The SILENCE is deafening!
