Dave Satterly, Game Director from the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation announced a new format for the Junior Ky All-Stars today.

 

18 Juniors were chosen at try out earlier in the month to play the Senior Ky All-Stars. Six (6) core players plus six (6) chosen for each team. On June 4th 12 Juniors will scrimmage the Seniors in Lexington, Ky. and then on June 6th 12 Juniors will scrimmage the Seniors in Louisville. Ky. The following week 12 of those original 18 Juniors will be chosen to play the Indiana Juniors on June 15th at Heritage Christian in Indianapolis, and then the following day at North Oldham High School in Goshen, Ky.

So Bullitt East and Madison Central should be cased closed Top 2 teams in the state next year?

The core 6 looks right to me. After that the other 6 battle for the 6 remaining spots, right? Are you saying the core 6 is wrong or that the remaining 12 are wrong?

The junior all star team may be a good idea, but the organization of this event was shaky at best. I don't believe the best players were invited.

I saw the list of 40 invited and I did not see a glaring omission

Hicks wasn't even the best player on his team of 6!! Hawkins,Mcreynolds,Troutman didn't do anything that should have got them on the team.. I guess I was watching for all around game just not lets see who shoots the most shots...Tre Rakes should have been a core 6 player along with Holland,Willis,Jackson and Taylor. I am happy for all that made it but some had help with the coach's that selected the teams...

Hawkins was the best player on the court.

I was told Troutman is having a really good spring.

He is but didn't have a good try out!!
