If it were not for Artest's history I would go with a 3-4 game suspension. Given he has been suspended over 100 games through his career, that has to count for something even though he, by comparative standards, has been on good behavior. That is why I feel the first round is fair. That is anywhere from 5-8 games.

And once again....you miss the whole point. You said, "when you purposely injure someone you go to jail." I said, "you go to a psych ward if proven mentally ill." now you are saying they end up homeless or life hoarders. Figure out what conversation you want to have and then get back to me.

Do you just pick and choose what you read? You ignore that I say mentally ill or not, if you commit a crime you go to jail, not a psyche ward.

I agree, I will stick with the 5 game prediction.

You're right. I'm wrong. I apologize for taking up your time trying to have an objectionable conversation. Have a good one.

You are in your own world!

"yea yea yea blah blah blah. Go cry to David Stern"

"Go back to your Cubs."

Yea you're right. Those are very relevant and "objectionable discussions" that totally pertain to this topic.

When actually put on the spot about how you in one post say he's mentally I'll and Harden should've stayed out of his way, then in another say that this isn't Hardens fault. You're flip flopping logic, and when questioned about it, you throw out some really objectionable discussions like this.

If you don't care about the NBA then why view the forum? And stuff like this turned you off to the NBA years ago? Was that in the 80's? Because plays like this have occured on a regular basis for a long time.

Last time I checked I pay my yearly dues which grants me access to all forums and I'm completely entitled to. Just because I'm not a die hard fan of the NBA doesn't mean I can't think Artest is an utter thug, but thanks for playing Chief:thumb:

Obviously you do. I said if proven to be mentally ill you go to a psych ward. I wouldn't expect an arresting cop to be able to tell if someone is mentally ill right off the bat. I do know for a fact that if a person is deemed mentally ill right off the bat then they are not always taken to straight to jail but they are transported to a mental health facility immediately. Is that not true in some situations? Or if they are taken to jail due to a violent crime but deemed mentally ill immediately they are separated from general population for fear of others and their own safety. Is that false?

Just trying to offer more to the discussion other than the typical borderline racist chants of Artest being an animal and a thug.

History starts somewhere. Might as well nip it in the bud now before a pattern develops. Seeing as how NBA players that do things on the court with intent to injure someone are thugs and animals. Oh but Love gets a pass huh? He's never done anything like that before. Lapse of character.

You can't even follow your own posts. So yes, you get my finest sarcasm. Deal with it or go back to your Cubs.

We definitely didn't have this conversation last week when Wade threw Rip into the bench with an elbow to the ribs.

We definitely didn't have this conversation when Wade gave a concussion during the All Star game because Wade felt Kobe was getting away with fouls during the game.

Two plays this year where Wade showed clear intent to foul hard, send a message, whatever you want to call it and not a peep. Guess the outcry only comes when a thug/animal does it.

If you can't see the obvious differences between hard fouls and blatant assaults you are blind.

What am I not following? If that's your finest, then I'm pretty disappointed. I'd liken that fine sarcasm to something my 13 year old nephew would cleverly retort.

If you watched the Bulls/Heat last week you'd have multiple examples. Almost every game involving playoff teams had some sort of scuffle in it last week. Yes, happens all of the time.

Jason Smith took Blake Griffin out a couple of weeks ago while Blake was in midair and then waved to the crowd on the way out. Not a peep from anyone.

No it doesn't. Again, scuffled and assaults are very different. This was no scuffle.

Go back and read post 132. He never specifically said elbows to the head happen all of the time. He said physical play does and that in this instance Harden took an elbow to the back of the head.

Physical play is fine. This wasn't physical play. How do you not get that?
