I've answered numerous times! Mentally ill or not, you still go to jail. I'd venture to say the majority of prison population has some form of mental illness, whether it's bipolar, or some other anti-social behavior. Mental wards where "crazy" people were locked away were done away with decades ago.

I just don't put hard fouls and assaults in different categories. If a 'hard foul' injures someone for multiple games is it then deemed an 'assault'? No. A hard foul is what it is. I've played basketball and fouled people hard but that doesn't mean I had the intent to injure them. I think it's very clear that Artest intended to injure Harden.

Hilarious. I think people who try to hurt people in all walks of life are animals. That's my definition of an animal. Trust me, when I see a white person, say exiting Wal-Mart punch little nerdy kid for looking at his girlfriend, well I call that dude an animal as well. Race has nothing to do with it. It's animalistic behavior To try and hurt people for no reason other than the fact that you can. White, black, green or purple, in my eyes you're an animal.
