Look, one can spin this issue however one's political biases want, but what Ms.Rosen said was absolutely stupid. End of discussion. She's admitted it and said she made a poor choice of words. It is simply absolutely stupid to downplay the importance or toughness of being a stay at home Mom.

The ignorant comment Rosen made was exactly that, class warfare. Her simple original claim was essentially that the rich are the stay at home moms, that it's a luxury. A detailed 2010 study disagrees. According to it's findings, the women who stay at home are increasingly those whose low education means they can't earn enough money to make working outside the home worthwhile.

Ooops. I'm sorry. I obviously hit too close to home with my post. I do think that those who buy into the class warfare strategy of President Obama aren't the brightest of folks. Just clarify luxury. We did not have the luxury to have a stay at home parent because if one of us quit we would not have money for groceries? Or we did not have the luxury to stay home with our kids because we were both on the fast track in our careers and neither one of us wanted to lose our footing? There is a difference IMO. Sorry, but that sounds like an excuse for Obama's poor choice of words. One I'm not buying.
