That's what I don't understand about the issue here. How did the Obamas get to be the "bad guys" in this whole issue? Do some think that the Obamas paid/influenced Rosen to say what she said?

 

One additional thing that bothers me is the implication that a mother that works outside the home isn't raising her children. That is as absurd as the implication that stay at home moms don't work.

I'm just referring to how the Obamas and other democrats denounced her statements. Unless you don't think the Obamas and other democrats are being genuine.

 

I don't, anymore than I think the Republican's crying out in her defense are being genuine. Genuine and politics seldom go together.

I don't know that they did, but then again I don't know that they didn't either. Lets just say I wouldn't be shocked if someone from Team Obama suggested that Rosen "take one for the team" so their guy could come out smelling like a rose.

 

Remember this is a guy who "won" his first election when a opponent had to drop out after some embarrassing situation was unearthed about him.

I don't know about "people" but I am not dismissing the Obamas' wealth, nor did I say that Michelle Obama could be the spokesperson for the average working mom.

 

The real bottom line here, that is being avoided at all costs in this thread and elsewhere, is that Romney looks foolish for implying that he gets his "feel" for women's issues from his wife. That's what Rosen's unfortunate choice of works was really about.

I don't disagree with your last sentence but it just seems like the guilty party is Rosen in this issue and the Obamas are guilty by association even though they denounced Rosen's statement. This is when people like me say it doesn't matter what the Obamas say or do they're always guilty.
