I run by people fitting the description in the original post several times a week. Sometimes I'm not always in the "best" part of town. I don't cross the street and have never been bothered.

Middle school and high school kids don't get jumped in the country? I grew up in the country...it happens.

Did you get jumped? I didn't. And if I would have, there would have been retribution. Where I grew up, if you would have singled out one of my friends when we weren't together, you would have had hell to pay in return. Just understood. Maybe I grew up in better country than you did.

You're a runner, no one would be able to catch you through all of that country. No need for you to cross the pasture to avoid conflict.

Agree. There's a difference between being alert and defensive and being paranoid. I feel like PP92 and Walmart in the other thread: if I crossed the street everytime I saw a black guy with a hat on I'd never get anywhere but the other side of the street. :lol:
