If they follow the rules of getting on the ballot then it is up to the people who they place in power. Like it or not, that is Democracy in action. To take away the process because of what YOU think will happen is as dictatorial as what YOU say is going to happen. I agree. That's what the people want. They have the right to choose to be slaves if they so desire.

While I may not state my concerns in the inflammatory nature of mountainref, I do agree with him that we (our govt) better keep a close eye on the Brotherhood unless we want Egypt to turn into a Iran type Islam theocracy (which would be dangerous to Israel and to the extent we remain an ally of Israel, the US). Not sure how the thread was spun into a debate on whether mountainref believes in the democratic process.

Reread the OP. mr didn't say they can't choose who they wanted. The OP was about the Brotherhood saying one thing and doing another. Which should concern those people in and out of Egypt in re the ability to trust the Brotherhood. You turned it into a debate on democracy. Every reasonable person will agree that the people in Egypt have a right to vote for who they want. A discussion on such is as pertinent and informative as asking whether the Sun is hot. Hence a waste of time. If you think the Brotherhood can be trusted or is a "good" organization or a "bad" organization I'd be interested in learning your thoughts as to why. I'd be interested in learning about your thoughts on the impact of a Brotherhood candidate being elected has on Israel. Give me a reason to want to return to this thread.
