I took this part of the article to mean they were "formerly" a part of the Muslim Brotherhood but not now.

I saw where one person taken off the ballot did not meet the criteria as a Natural Born Citizen of Egypt. I thought the article spoke of the ones being removed as not meeting constitutional criteria. Kind of like why some GOP candidates were not on the Primary ballott here in VA, because they had not filed their paper work in time.
