What a joke!! Colton voted off when you have two girls that absolutely suck and have sucked for several weeks. He was without a doubt one of the most consistent performers throughout this season. I think the judges try to persuade the voters and then play the "oh my God, I can't believe America did this" act. Leads me to believe that this is fixed.

 

Wow. When he got voted off, one of my first thoughts was about all the 12 year old girls who just had their day ruined. Had no idea the emotional anguish would be this wide spread.

Since the beginning of the show I've been pulling for Phillip Phillips. Very entertaining. Not sure if there's a big market for him though.

 

The young girl (can't remember her name) that can sing like no one else would bore me to tears after two songs. The airwaves are filled with singers like her.

 

The cat from Louisiana who sang "Change is Gonna Come" is outstanding but I'd say he has a limited appeal as well.

 

Country girl is talented but she is a Miranda Lambert wannabe. She'll fade just like the girl who came in 2nd last year.

I apologize to Colton. I must admit that I have only watched it a few times. I thought Colton was the guy with the hair. I just looked it up, and that was DeAndre. I feel his hair is the only thing that has kept him around.

"Ousted "American Idol" contestant Colton Dixon said on Friday that his performance of Lady Gaga's hit "Bad Romance" had likely turned off voters who shared his Christian beliefs.

 

Dixon, 20, from Tennessee, said he was still in shock over being booted off the TV contest, describing Thursday night's elimination as a bad dream, to reporters on a conference call.

 

"By choosing 'Bad Romance' I think I turned off a lot of my core voters," he said. "It was a bad risk to take because I didn't really think it through. I think musically, performance wise..I was happy the way it turned out. But the message that was portrayed wasn't really who I was.

I'd rather have a stick in my eye than to continue to watch Skylar. Talented but wholly annoying.

 

I'm trying to figure out if ANY of the 6 can have commercial success. Struggling to pick one who will. IMO the most successful will be Colton.

This was Joshua's night. Both performances were very good and the judges loved him.
