Who will be the new coach at Montgomery County?

Featured Replies

Would be a good hire, but just don't see him talking this job.

Where is this coach from?

Tates Creek.

What about Brandon Snowden, he played there had a successful college career, and lives back in the area?

Not sure how is name was brought up, but I dont think he even coaches basketball at all, maybe some rec ball stuff. I also think that policy states you have to be in the district to be the coach.

He is the coach at Tates Creek.

Wayne Breeden would be a home run hire, however, it is my understanding that he was the first person contacted when Rison retired, and would've been the only person contacted had he choosen to take the job. He turned it down five years ago when the job had everything going for it....new arena, good players returning, supportive AD in place, etc. I can't imagine he'd be interested now with the circus that has come to town, and with the new Supt. and AD serving as the ring leaders. Breenden has been around long enough to know better than to go into that situation.

I feel like I'm having Deja Vu with this thread title.

I wouldn't be that surprised. Chalk may look at Montgomery and think no more Scott County and no more Lexington Catholic.

Right.... If not for those two, FCHS would have dominated the 11th. A big LOL for that statement!

I ask this before, but didn't get a reply. Anyone know of a timeline on when the interview process will begin?

The AD states in this weeks Advocate, "if everything goes well applications for the position will be in this week and next and that they"ll have a new coach in place by sometime in mid-April."

How can you accept applications but the job is not posted?

Also in the article is states that the AD had no idea Wise was going to resign and just found the letter of resignation on his desk when he came into work in the morning. Conflicting stories between coach and AD. Interesting????
