Quentin was not MVP. One of the reporters took a picture of him holding the team trophy and tweeted it. Someone saw it and ran with it saying "Looks like he got MVP", then it started trending.

 

Shane Hall played great in the Championship game, 14 pts, 12 boards, and 9 blocks. Russell had 20, Snider 15, Hatton 11. Trey Grundy also had a big championship game and picked up offers from Samford and Miami (OH) this weekend.

The three biggest events are Peach Jam and Peach State Showcase in South Carolina and the NY2LA SummerJam in Milwaukee...

1:24 PM - Kristian Morgan (Gallatin County HS, KY/Class of 2013) sank two key free throws with just over 10 seconds left to secure a 62-59 win in a 17U Bracket quarterfinal game for the Bombers Basketball Club (KY).

 

“I’m thinking I can’t miss these. Have to make them,” said Morgan, who finished with 11 points.

 

The Bombers, led by Nicholas Seibert’s (Newport Central Catholic, KY/Class of 2013) 19 points, will face Pittsburgh Team Adidas (PA) in the 17U semifinals later today.

 

“There’s a lot of good competition here,” said Morgan. “I think we’ll be ready. We have come to far here.” –@pfebbraro

Nicholas Seibert (Newport Central Catholic, KY/ Class of 2013), who finished with 12 points, hit a layup with two minutes left to put the Bombers up 62-61. The Oakland Soldiers team with Aaron Gordon is freakin' real good. Looking forward to the Texas Titans with Julius Randle playing Andrew Wiggins' CIA Bounce team here at 7:30. I'm thinking Cal will be watching that, as will every other coach who's here.
