I like your poll right now, but this week will be the most telling

week of the season thus far:

Russell plays Raceland and Boyd Co.

West Carter plays Lewis and East.

Fairview plays Ashland at Ashland.

Elliot plays East Carter and Rowan.

Russell is probably has the most to prove having a showdown with

Owens and Co. at Marvin-Meredith Gymnasium and a tough battle

earlier in the week against an always scrappy Raceland team also

at home. But this may not even be the biggest week of the month

for the Devils as they play @ East Carter, @ Blazer, and in the

Central Bank Classic on that Saturday. If they are going to pick it

up in January, look for that to be the time it happens.

Plus Greenup gets back to its grueling schedule with Jackson City and Augusta. ;)

I believe that doesn't actually happen until the next week, they're

taking this one to recoup...

Hopefully Boyd got their bad playing out of their system this week and will be ready for a tough region schedule.

I think there going to be just fine. :thumb:

Until somebody in the Region beats Morgan they will have to stay at number 1

Love to keep the Cub in check. Too much hype with his poll without some honest analysis.

1. Cougars - 2 of 3 this week gives them the nod.

2. Lions (Boyd) - Interchange after tough week.

3. Tomcats - Starting to click.

4. Lions (Elliott) - Can win or lose on any night.

5. Eagles - Playing well.

6. Comets - Jekyll - Hyde

7. Ramblers - We will see how the new Ramblers fair this week.

8. Red Devils - Team Turmoil

9. Musketeers - Might dominate an All A League

10. Raiders - Seem to be getting their feet

11. Vikings - Close games will pay off as season moves on.

12. Panthers - Unknown

13. Royals - Youngsters get decent win over struggling Lawrence.

14. Wildcats (Menifee) - Some talent and a fresh coach.

15. Wildcats (Bath) - Beat West.

16. Lions (Lewis) - Struggling.

Is this a sarcastic statement and a slap in the face to Jackson City? Sure hope not!

Only got the Ramblers at #7 tubby? whats up with that? you giving up on them? :D

So if Russell would escape tuesday and win, that would be an upset? Would that move them up at least a notch?

Bath Wildcats beat Elliott, not West.

Still think Ashland will be #1 in the next few weeks.

Don't forget that Fairview plays Rose Hill tonight. A big win for the Eagles and it would solidify their place to a greater degree in the top tier in the region (since Greenup and Raceland both went to the wire with the Royals). A win for Rose Hill not only brings them the needed upset but also places them in the watch category for the rest of the season in the anyone's guess 64th region.

I just noticed that a team that Russell beat in the Bryan Station tournament, Fern Creek, beat Elizabethtown, one of the top rated teams in the state. That goes to show that on any given night, anything can happen.

After seeing both Morgan Cty and Boyd Cty recently I would expect an early 1st round exit for either in the State Tourney.
