16th Region Poll 12/31/05

One - He has Morgan, Boyd, and Ashland lumped together. There are no numbers by their names. I read that as these three are the cream of the crop and then there is everyone else. If I interpreted his post incorrectly then I appologize. Of course, in his recent post he clarified my origional thought.

Second - He is certainly biased toward Ashland which is fine and for the sake of charity I'm biased toward Rose Hill not against Ashland. Go back and read the football boards and tell me if I am biased against Ashland. This is a typicall response from an Ashland fan. Their record is below .500 win wins over Knox Central, Letcher Co., Pulaski Co., West Carter, and Lewis Co. Not exactly the 1927 Yankees now is it. So I'm anti Ashland because I can't see ranking them ahead of a team (Russell) that has a similar record, or ahead of two teams with better records (Fairview and Elliott). Ashland may very well beat Fairview on Friday and if so I would be the first to tell you that they deserve to be ranked ahead of them. Until then they deseve to be ranked in the middle of the region.

The difference between me and AT41 is this. I see Rose Hill's short comings. Based on Rose Hill's results on the floor I think they sould be ranked 10th to 14th in the region below your Tomcats.

You will have to forgive Aunt B. she is continually a AT 41 apologist. ;)

Can't a girl have a past, without it being thrown in her face after all these years?? One moment of guilty pleasure, and it's going to haunt me forever... Besides, he promised me that he would call me...

Just for the sake of clarity, I told my daughter not to make the same mistake I did, but she just couldn't bring herself to drive a stake through his heart, as I asked her...

Forlornly,

PS - as for "apologetics", AT41 is a big boy, and is on his own when it comes to defending his statements - just as I'm sure that he'd want it to be. :thumb:

I just noticed this. I take exception to this statement. Every school represented on this board has fans across the spectrum - from diehards that are blind to any shortcomings of their school, to people that pull for their school but are very evenhanded in how they see the big picture.

In all honesty, I don't think there is a "typical" response from any school system. Only patterns for individual posters...

Just as I suspected! Now what about the rest of the story? Did you really leave him on the doorstep at James A. Anderson Gymnasuim or was James A. Anderson the father? Its been so long I first heard the story, I'm confused

ps the "Stake through the Heart" part could still happen Friday night

Please remember I was blasted by Onetoya for saying the Tomcats were not EXTREMELY talanted after they lost by 50. Even in this case I don't feel like I have been critical of Ashland. I just don't see how they can be included in the head and shoulders crowd until they beat someone.

By the way I would rank Ashland and Russell 5th and 6th based on their potential. I just can't see ranking them ahead of Elliott and Fairview both of whom have gotten it done on the floor at this time. If Ashland wins Friday I will be one of the first to move them up in the rankings.

Fair enough. This week (and next) will give us all a little more to chew on.

FWIW, I am from the 10th region, not the 16th but you can tell Ashland is a very different team than they were in the beginning of the year. I think Thomas and McDavid will lead them to a 16th region title... Just an outsider looking in...

It wasn't I that left him...

His mother couldn't bring herself to do what needed to be done, and by the time he was three years old, he was such a beautiful boy ...

Well, my heart began to melt. So, I did what any grandmother would have done - I talked my daughter into giving him up for adoption. Naturally, my daughter and I used the $3,000 for fresh smokes, and some high quality Mad Dog 20/20 wine, so it wasn't a total loss.

Little AT41 was bought, er - adopted, by a fine young couple from Ashland. And the rest (as they say) is history.

If they don't get a favorable draw in the district, Ashland may not see the regional tournament.

I'm not sure what a favorable draw is in the 64th, those little 8th graders at Rose Hill are going to be a little bigger come March

Death and taxes ....

There is no such thing as a sure bet. I'd say that Morgan is the only team in the 16th that is virtually assured of getting to Morehead. And if they read too much of their press clippings, even they can be beaten in their own District.

For the first time in a long time there is no "bye" come tournament time in the 6th.

Well, my last name IS Anderson, and my first name IS James. The conspiracy grows..... :sssh:
