Ramey Midwest Showdown Showcase held in St. Louis produced a defensive gem for Fern Creek

as they beat the defending State Champions from Missouri at the host school's home court which featured a 18-10 halftime score. On Thursday the Webster Groves team ranked 13th in the nation lost to #1 ranked Memphis East on ESPN2. Memphis East is coached by Penny Hardaway and won the game going away. Tonight it was Fern Creek's turn and when they are locked in with defense and rebounding as they were tonight they are capable of beating anyone in the state.

Anthony Wales was the leading scorer with 23 and Ahmad Price scored 15. Fern Creek played without Clint Wickliffe and Webster Groves was without Courtney Ramey, the former U of L commit.
