Holmes has handled itself pretty well against statewide competition over the past decade. I don't think anyone in the 9th Region viewed the '12 Boone County squad in the same light as the Holmes teams that preceded. I think both Holmes and Newport Catholic are in the 10-20 category. Cov. Cath. a couple of notches below them.

I enjoyed following Ricardo in the 9th Region but would agree that his accomplishments in college have been (to be generous) somewhat modest. From the Darius Miller era, Shelvin Mack would at least deserve an honorable mention.
