In a nail biter at NCC, CovCath Frosh pull out a victory over NewCath by a score of 44-42

 

Both teams, as one would except from Freshmen this early in the season, had their ups and their down's but overall it was a game you would except from a CovCath vs. NewCath game.

 

The Anderson twins of NCC (#12 - #24) scored 28 of the 42 NCC points with each scoring 14 points, while CovCath #15 Flood had 14 and #24 Beck had 12 to lead CovCath.

IMHO stars of the game

 

NCC #12 Anderson as I believed he scored something like the first 8 points for NCC to stake them to a 12-6 lead in the first quarter

 

CovCath #4 Schrand as he scored all of his 6 points for CovCath in the 4th quarter and made two clutch Free Throws to help win the game.

 

With this victory vs. NCC CovCath Frosh improve to 2-0 and next play Newport at CovCath this Friday November 30th @ 6:30pm

It was a very entertaining game this evening. The Anderson twins for NewCath look real good. Both go at it at "warp speed" the entire game, I got tried just watching them.

9th grader Will Heppler has not been cleared to play yet (injury) but CovCath does have 9th grader Austin Sweeney playing JV and not Frosh.

Great to see the Anderson's playing well. I have watched them play AAU since they were 9.

I would venture to guess that NewCath freshman footballer, Jacob Smith, is on the JV also.

I bet frosh Weyer and Smith both play strictly JV..

These are two teams that would be fun to watch with all of the frosh on one team. It would be great battle.
