This game had to rank as one of the poorest called games I have ever sat through. The refs did not make any bones about it. They were for Oldham. Ryle had them down by 10 at the begining of the 4th and the refs brought them back to life. A true homer.

Stauffer would serve better outside of the lane and Nichols in the lane. Nichols causes more of a problem for the other team inside. I don't think Andy was able to score on him inside last night. He is much more physical. The only reason he wasn't more of an offensive factor was Ryle did not take advantage of the mismatch down low. But that has been a Ryle trait for the past 2 years. They fed the ball twice down low which resulted in 2 scores. Not real sure on the logic but to many Boone fans made the same comment. But its only an opinion on my part. Regardless of who is down on the block the team has to take advantage of it.

Its scary but tonight was close to a carbon copy of the start of last season. Play close through the first half then fall apart. They failed to take advantage of the inside game. To many times players had their man posted up and the guard looked away. Call me old school but if your able to post a player up I am not sure why you don't.

I look for Andy to try and stay outside of the lane. He has developed a nice outside shot but it depends on how many times the coach wants to let him shoot.

It is a very small amount in the process. If the schedual was such a big issue college coaches would be asking for several game films but they don't. typically they want 1 full game and maybe a highlight film then they want the kid to come to their camp. At the camp, when they are face to face, is when they draw an opinion. The camps are the number one tool that schools use to evaluate a player's ability not their high school schedual. I would encouarge every high school player that wants to get noticed to attend as many camps as they can.

Boone and Ryle face off this Tuesday night at Boone. It should be a fun game to watch. Top Players from both teams play AAU on the same team so it should be a physical game with good sportsmanship.

I don't think their high school schedule will really have much to do with it.

Word on the street is that the Ryle freshman class is down compaired to the past few years. Ryle has produced some power house freshman in the past.

Nichols only had the ball thrown his way 3 times, he only had 2 receptions on the game and they were both in the first half.

Not sure about overrated but I think without question he creates a lot of problems for the D when he is hitting from the outside. Obviously he is not 100% but I have never seen anyone that is but he is for sure better than 50% most of the time. I think Scott Co. will tap his shoulder often during the season.

Tate played several games last year with a broken foot. Doctors forced him to stop playing on the foot about halfway through the season. I would expect to see him on the court this year.

I think that they are different and to make it worse the rules appear to be different for basketball also. You can go to the NCAA web site but its about as clear as mud.

Schools can send letters to a player Sep. 1 of their Jr year but can not send e mails, text messages or phone them until their Sr. year. A player of any age can phone a college coach at any time or as often as they want but the coach can not return calls. A player of any age can make as many unofficial (paid for by the parent) visits they want. Once the player is on campus coaches can make any contact they want with the high school player. None of this keeps a college coach from making contact with a 3rd party requesting a high school player to call them.

Ryle has put in a much more pass oriented offense for this season he will have a good chance to get noticed.

He had great game speed. 40 times don't always tell the whole story.

Tate is about 6'7 235 and will be playing tight end instead of wr this year.
