Couldn't agree with you more. It's sad & a shame. Here's the reality of it all: Core group of Officials are "aging out." Due to the conduct of Coaches / Fans/ Parents - Officials are quitting and walking away. {This group has no idea they are "cutting their own throats" - Maybe they do and don't care} Younger folk who should be interested and 'coming in' - have no interest [** SEE NO 2 ABOVE] Due to the shortage - folks are probably "working"- who really shouldn't be out there. The alternative = NO GAMES

Agree with you "back in the day" Unfortunately I think there is a lack of uniformity among Officials. What one crew/Official won't tolerate - others will. A Shame.

9-5-1 "No player shall act in an unsportsmanlike manner once the game officials assume authority for the game. Examples are, but not limited to: [c] any delayed, excessive or prolonged act by which a player attempts to focus attention upon himself." Cannot speak to other states.

Saw a podcast interview where he said he flies home every Friday night to see his games. How neat is that .

Agree with the "undisciplined" - at least they were last year. ie - Fight during PRP game. Players coming across the field to fight and even fans out of the stands. Bad bad look.

You have to give them that. Have always done so in recent memory. Too bad other schools don't follow their lead.
