Thanks for the kind words... We hosted the 7th & 8th grade conference girls' tournament a couple of years ago, and it seemed to go well enough. The crowd yesterday seemed comparable. I would assume we could gather enough willing volunteers to host another tournament. Like I said before, Pendleton County has lovely school facilities, their people were great. :thumb:

Wow, I SINCERELY HOPE nobody at St. Pat turned down the chance to host this tournament this year. If so, I personally apologize, and I know we could get a group of people together who would be glad to host it anytime in the future. Of course, if we did host it, people would have to refrain from complaining about how small our gym is, and how supposedly bad it is for other teams to shoot in. All aside, Pendleton County was very hospitable, and the middle school is a lovely facility.:thumb:

Listened to the 4th Q on the way home from the freshman girls' tournament. True Blue Danny Weddle thought there was a foul before the buzzer. Definitely a sad way to lose a game. Stenzel shows great composure for an underclassman. I'm sure the Tollesboro crowd is proud.

I've seen plenty of that too, plus lots of pushing, as well. :irked:

They need to keep the "A" game out for 4 whole quarters, especially at this time of the year. Anne Klee had a fabulous game. And Mason's Keller Menke is a very strong player.

Well said! If you don't want to be a part of the school system's classrooms, then you shouldn't be a part of their extra-curricular groups. With that being said, my children attend a private, religious school AND I really admire most people who home-school their children. Also, what about liability and insurance issues for children who are not enrolled at your school?

I completely agree with both of you. Neither the coach, nor the players, need parents watching practice. But if you insist, the schools should at least start charging admission. $20 sounds fair to me.

No, they don't. But why get in these tournaments and spend this much of your entire schedule playing the same 3-4 teams each season?

Did you see the picture in the Ledger Independent, the other day? They are having an organizational season. The softball coach is handling it. As to your other comment, it is hard to imagine St. Patrick and Mason being in different districts, logistically.:confused:
