bigblueinsanity Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Power went off 3 times and both coaches said if it went off for a 3rd time they would call the game. Game was 58-58 with 38 sec left with St Pat having the ball. Crazy game.
AHSPanther23 Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 So this game really never happened I guess.
Mustang Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Final from Augusta. Only in Augusta.Stranger things have happened - such as the 1997 38th District Championship game when Harrison County and Bourbon County were competing (I believe it was Bourbon County) for the district title when the game was called because of the potential flooding situation. Harrison County was leading the game handily, but the game was declared a no-contest and a coin flip determined that Bourbon County was the winner. In the regional district loser Harrison County defeated district winner Brossart, and then went on to win the 10th Region Championship that year.

polarbear1994 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Final from Augusta. Only in Augusta. Never a dull moment. Now we can start discussing the cross-county shootout.
saint4 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 St. Pat: 8-12-1 Augusta: 8-11-1 I think those are correct. Crazy game.

mcpapa Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I was listening to this game on my snazzy "headset radio". The mcpapa family was without electricity also; it seemed kind of ironic listening to this play out. At the time, the feeling seemed to be that the stats would count for the players, but the game itself would not. Is that correct?
16thregionfan Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 I feel for you. Mine was out 7 days during the ice storm, but only a couple of hours yesterday.
